Description: "Nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge near historic Harpers Ferry, WV, Ridgefield Farm and Orchard is aptly named. The ridge dominates the landscape, and the fields abound with apples, pumpkins, and Christmas trees. Ridgefield Farm has been a family farm since the 1890's. It is currently owned by Lee and Gretchen Greiner, who in 1985 changed the landscape of the farm and the direction of its use. Since that time they have planted three thousand apple trees, acres of pumpkins, and eight thousand Christmas trees so that people can enjoy the bounty of the crops and participate in the harvest experience".
Apples: 15 varieties including unusual varieties Nittany, Shenandoah Supreme, Virginia Gold and Yataka. Also Akane, Ginger Gold, Gala, Cortland, Jonagold, Red Delicious, Empire, Golden Delicious, Mutsu, Stayman and Fuji.
