"During the apple season, we encourage groups to come and visit our orchard. We offer a beautiful private picnic area along the Swatara creek, complete with a fire pit and deck. Groups are welcome to pick their own apples and pumpkins as part of the experience.
Our orchard is presently a self serve facility with approximately 8 varieties, starting the second week in September and ending the first week in December. The cider season starts the first Friday of October and ends the first week in December."

At Shaw Orchards, we take apples very seriously. They have been grown here for over 90 years, and though all the original trees are gone, we still pride ourselves in offering the highest quality apples around. Glenn is a member of many apple organizations, including International Dwarf Fruit Tree, the Knouse Growers Cooperative, and is vice president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Association.
